Carhartt hoodies run a little large compared to the majority of hoodie brands, but this is part of the design. These hoodies are intended to be loose-fitting in order to increase mobility while you are working. It also makes them super comfortable.
I usually buy hoodies one size bigger than my t-shirt size because I like the style of oversized hoodies and it adds room for layering underneath.
Carhartt is the only brand I do not size up for when buying sweatshirts.
If you order a medium, it will fit about halfway between a medium and a large.
Carhartt hoodies are very durable and made with a cotton/polyester blend that helps prevent shrinking. You won’t need to worry about your hoodie shrinking too much as long as you follow the proper washing instructions.
